Ok, crazy week and lots going on.I've spent much of the week hunting independent reports and data on the state of AI with L&D teams globally. I've had no joy thus far. So, I decided to create my own and I need your help 👀.This week, I launched the "State of AI in L&D Today" survey. Benefits vs features
This is a classic tale seen across all industries.I've seen several L&D products fail. They didn't suck. The users just weren't aware of the benefits.They didn't know how it will transform them for the better.It's helpful to consider:1/ Why is this thing useful for them?2/ How will it improve their life?These are the questions that we have to answer as L&D pros.Design alone is not enough. You must position your product for success.
The power of a title
Here's a simple framework to create clear titles for your L&D content.90% of us engage with content based on the headline. You can leverage this to clearly state your learning experiences' value for users.So, a headline should provide 3 things - problem, promise, and outcome.> Problem = What is the problem I should know?> Promise = What are you going to teach me?> Outcome = How will I change?As an example 👇“Feedback is tough? Let us show you how to be confident and drive value with your feedback”.A simple formula you can steal is problem + promise x outcome = awesome headline.Get this right and the rest is like falling dominoes.
