THE BIG THOUGHT
The Complete AI Upskilling Strategy For L&D Teams

We’re about 5 weeks from the end of 2023 as I write this.

I’m certain we can all agree on the biggest moment of the year - AI.

Who knew two little letters would drive so much disruption? If it’s not the 19 year olds telling you that you need to know these 100 new AI tools every day or risk death. You have companies chasing their tails like excited dogs who want the sexy new tools but not sure why.

It’s a captain-obvious statement for me to say as L&D operators, teams and leaders that upskilling with AI is a top priority for those 24/25 strategies.

Think beyond tools, build behaviours

A lot of the thinking in the performance and learning space has been incredibly finite.

Too focused on a perfect prompt and the one tool to rule them all rather than focusing on the behaviours and decision-making to interact with such tools based on the task at hand.

Tools will come and go, but thinking critically about why, how and when to interact with AI (or any tool) is an infinite strategy for positive performance outcomes.

This is what I’d encourage you to do as a L&D pro for 2024.
